Stantonbury School is thrilled to announce a significant boost to our library resources, following a generous £250 grant from #Tove10.
This funding is specifically earmarked for the expansion of our Manga collection, a genre that has seen an explosion in popularity across all year groups. By increasing our stock of these high-demand titles, the library aims to continue fostering a vibrant culture of reading throughout the school.
Why Manga Matters
Manga—Japanese graphic novels—offers a unique, visually immersive experience that bridges the gap for many types of learners. At Stantonbury, we have found that these titles are instrumental in:
- Engaging Reluctant Readers: The fast-paced, visual nature of Manga helps build reading stamina and confidence.
- Challenging Confident Readers: With complex plotlines and diverse themes, Manga provides sophisticated narratives for avid bookworms.
- Inclusivity: Ensuring our shelves reflect the genuine interests of our student body.
Supporting a Love of Literacy
The library is often the heart of the school, and keeping our collection current is vital for student engagement. This donation allows us to refresh our series and introduce new, trending titles that students have been eager to get their hands on.
"We are incredibly grateful to Tove 10 for their support," said the school library team. "Seeing students excited to visit the library and dive into a new book is our ultimate goal, and this grant helps make that a reality for even more of our pupils."
A huge thank you once again to Tove 10 for investing in our students’ literacy and their love of reading!
Keep an eye on the library shelves over the coming weeks to see the new arrivals!
