Your Future, Your Choice: Year 9 Options 2026

This is an important term for our Year 9 students as they begin the exciting journey of selecting their Key Stage 4 Option Choices.

We have designed a comprehensive support programme to help you and your child make realistic, relevant, and ambitious choices for their future.

Step 1: Review Progress

Before making any decisions, we recommend logging into My Child At School (MCAS) to review your child’s Autumn Term report. This is the perfect starting point to discuss their current strengths and areas for development.

Step 2: Year 9 Parents’ Evening

Date: Thursday 26th February

Time: 16:00 – 19:00

Location: On-site (Face-to-face appointments)

Join us to discuss academic progress and potential Key Stage 4 pathways with subject teachers.

How to Book: The booking system opens Wednesday 4th February at midday and closes Thursday 26th February at 13:00.

1. Log into School Cloud.
2. Click on 'Parents' Evening Booking System'.
3. Select the event and book based on teacher availability.
4. Check your email for confirmation.

Step 3: Options Subject Fair

Date: Thursday 12th March

Time: 16:00 – 18:45

This is a vital opportunity for students and families to explore our wide range of Year 10 subjects.

• Discover: New qualifications and career routes.
• Discuss: Speak with key staff about course demands and suitability.
• Presentations: Join us in the Theatre at 17:00 or 18:00 for a 20-minute guide to the full options process and key deadlines.
• Resources: Collect your physical copy of the Options Information Booklet from the Theatre foyer.
