School Uniform

Our school uniform is an important part of our identity and we have high expectations that students will wear their uniform smartly and with pride.

All school uniform, including PE kit and the optional additional uniform, can be purchased from Maisies, Church Street, Wolverton or ordered from them at www.maisies-superstore.co.uk,

subject to availability.

Plain items — including trousers, skirts, shirts, socks and tights — are available from major supermarkets and budget retailers, ensuring the uniform remains affordable for all families.

Families eligible for support through the school's Uniform Assistance Scheme should contact their child's Head of Year or the school Ethos team for support and guidance on how to access financial support.

Sixth Form

Sixth Form students occupy a distinctive position within the Stantonbury community. As the most senior members of the school, you are role models for every student in Years 7 to 11. Your conduct, attitude and presentation set the standard by which younger students measure their own aspirations. The expectations placed upon you in the Sixth Form reflect that responsibility.

Sixth Form students are not required to wear school uniform. Instead, we ask that you present yourself in accordance with a professional business casual dress code. This approach mirrors the standard expected in many graduate workplaces and prepares you for life beyond school. It also allows you to express your individual identity appropriately, within a framework of mutual respect.

The following guidance sets out clearly what is and is not acceptable. If you are ever uncertain whether a particular item of clothing meets the standard, speak to a member of the Sixth Form team before wearing it to school. The principle to apply is straightforward: if it would be appropriate in a professional workplace, it is almost certainly appropriate here.

Acceptable Dress

Sixth Form students are welcome to wear:

Smart trousers or chinos
Skirts or dresses of a modest length, appropriate for a professional setting
Polo shirts, blouses or smart tops
Jumpers, cardigans or smart non-hooded sweatshirts void of large logos and images
Blazers or jackets — optional, but encouraged
Smart footwear; clean, neutral trainers are acceptable

You are encouraged to express your personal style through colour, accessories and cultural or religious dress, provided that choices remain appropriate for a professional learning environment.

Not Acceptable

To maintain the high standards expected of Sixth Form students, the following items are not acceptable at any time during the school day:

Jeans, joggers or leggings worn as trousers
Crop tops, low-cut tops, strapless tops or strappy tops
Shorts, miniskirts or excessively short dresses
Clothing bearing offensive or overtly political messages or imagery
Football shirts or Hoodies of any kind
Slides, slippers, Crocs or flip-flops
Coats worn indoors, hoods worn up inside the building or hats and caps worn indoors

The school reserves the right to speak with any Sixth Form student whose clothing falls outside this guidance and to ask them to change. This code exists to uphold the learning environment and to prepare students for professional life — it is not about restricting identity. Stantonbury values individuality, and we trust our Sixth Form students to exercise that individuality with the maturity their position demands.

Prohibited Items

The following items must not be brought onto school premises. Any item found will be confiscated and held securely:

Smart watches or fitness trackers
Electronic games, personal music devices or earphones
If a mobile phone or other electronic device is seen, the school reserves the right to confiscate the device and secure until the end of the school day as per the school’s Behaviour Policy sec.9.3 Appendix 2
Hoodies, leather jackets or denim jackets
