The Stantonbury School ADT (Art, Design, and Technology) Department brought a touch of magic to the local community this past Saturday, proudly participating in the annual Wolverton Lantern Festival.
The festive event, which enjoyed kind weather, saw a brilliant turnout from the Stantonbury community, with many students and their families attending to support the school and the wider Wolverton tradition.
This year’s festival theme was Fairytales, and the Stantonbury students rose to the occasion with an outstanding creation. The team designed and built a stunning lantern representing the iconic Gingerbread Cottage from the tale of Hansel and Gretel.
The final piece was a huge success, drawing praise for its intricate detail and craftsmanship. "The students did an amazing job bringing the design to life," commented a department spokesperson. The lantern stood as a beacon of the students' creativity and technical skill.
A special mention and thank you goes to Ms Nixon, who expertly led the students on this magical project. Her dedication, time, and energy were instrumental in the project's success, guiding the students from initial concept to the glowing finished lantern.
Stantonbury School is immensely proud of the ADT Department and all the students who dedicated their time and effort to this fantastic community event. Their participation truly illuminated the spirit of creativity and collaboration within the school.
