Stantonbury School students recently visited Samaritan's Purse for the official launch of Impact Innovators, an inspiring year-long social action initiative delivered in partnership with the Grace Foundation.
Designed to empower students to make a real difference in their community, the project challenges young people to develop innovative solutions to local social issues. Over the coming year, student teams will plan and refine their ideas before presenting them in a Dragon’s Den style pitch event, where they will compete to secure £500 in seed funding to turn their plans into reality.
Immediate Global Impact: 11,000 Meals Prepared
To kick off the launch, students immediately put their commitment to service into practice by participating in two major global humanitarian initiatives on site:
- Emergency Food Relief: Working alongside event team members, our students helped pack nutritious food parcels bound for communities in Zimbabwe, successfully assembling an extraordinary 11,000 meals in total.
- Operation Christmas Child: Students also packed gift-filled shoeboxes containing toys, school supplies, and hygiene items that will be sent to children around the world.
Fostering Leadership and Compassion
The visit was a powerful start to what promises to be a transformative year. By connecting global charity work with local community action, the Impact Innovators launch showed our students the tangible power of teamwork, organization, and empathy.
Stantonbury School is immensely proud of the energy, care, and dedication shown by every student who attended. We look forward to following their journey over the coming months as they develop their projects to support our local community!
